WHAT TO EXPECT

Dear New Patient, Welcome to Alpha & Omega Physical Therapy. Thank you for choosing us. The confidence and trust you have placed in us means a lot to our team and our organization.  We look forward to partnering with you to address your health concerns, and we will do all we can to ensure you achieve your goals.

While you are in physical therapy, we will take the time to get to know you and discuss your needs and desires. Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and bring your health insurance card and your prescription from a physician if applicable.

The Physical Therapist will perform an initial evaluation and discuss their findings with you.  The Therapist will then develop a treatment plan and schedule that you are comfortable with and which meets your specific needs. Your first visit will take approximately 60-75 minutes. In order to help you to get the most out of your experience, please review the following suggestions:

1.  Be on time and keep your appointments. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your initial evaluation.  We commit to offering you individualized treatment that involve direct therapist interaction on each visit. Your timely arrival will help us to keep this commitment to you.

2.   Do your homework. What you do away from your therapy sessions will greatly shape your long term success.  We will offer suggestions and self-care techniques and home exercise programs to support you on the road to your treatment goals.

3.  Give it time. Although occasionally immediate relief and improved function is achieved, more often, healing with physical therapy is a process, not a magic pill. As you progress and improve toward your goals, we will adjust your treatment plan. Changes to your condition can happen faster than anticipated, so enjoy them!

4.   Keep a positive ATTITUDE and the results will follow. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.  Countless studies have been conducted and suggest a definite relationship between better health outcomes and positive thinking.  Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”  -Winston Churchill

Please fill out the New patient medical history forms and bring them with you to your first appointment along with a list of any medications that you taking. Our office is truly a neighborhood practice that is based on word-of-mouth referrals. We take pride in our hands-on approach to physical therapy.  We welcome you and look forward to serving you.

Sincerely, The Team at AOPT.
